How to Connect Passive Speakers and a Subwoofer

Power off before connecting

Turn the amplifier off before making or changing speaker connections. This helps prevent shorts and accidental loud pops.

Connect passive speakers

1. Connect the left speaker to the left output and the right speaker to the right output.
2. Match positive and negative terminals correctly.
3. Use a low volume for the first test.

Add a subwoofer

• Use the subwoofer output on a 2.1-channel amplifier if available.
• Set subwoofer volume low, then raise it gradually.
• Keep the subwoofer near the listening area or experiment with placement for the most balanced bass.
